Welcome

Welcome to this website. My name is Scott and I am the curator for this tiny corner of the internet. Social media platforms have become the default method for online expression, the sharing of ideas, and recording of memories. It didn't use to be that way. In the past weirdos like me would put up little websites and then tell their other weirdo friends (probably over ICQ) to check them out. Maybe only a handful of people would ever visit these personal websites, but they were fun and they were personal. 

This site is also a chance for me to build something. I've been fucking around with website for a long time and have used MANY different website builders, content management systems, etc. I've also spent a lot of time building websites using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Ruby. For out of the box website platforms, I never found one that did exactly what I wanted and ended up wasting a lot of time trying to make things bend to my will (and usually failing). So this is my first attempt at building my own CMS like thing. I'll make the GitHub repo public and share it when this is a little further along.
